This river cruise is a wonderfully relaxed and luxurious way of experiencing the Thames and some of England's finest restaurants which have been drawn to this magical setting. Each day you board a river boat and float downstream to your next destination. All of these boast an exceptional restaurant nearby, invariably with a stunning backdrop, where we have arranged for you to enjoy a memorable dinner.
If you like to work up an appetite for such events, you can tug on your walking boots and enjoy the best local route we know through the surrounding countryside and along the river. Those who like to revel in the slow pace can just potter about. Each overnight stay is a few minutes walk from the boat pier of these historic towns with riverside lunch spots, tempting museums and celebrated landmarks claiming your attention.
This is such a great way to discover the sights, smells and tastes of quintessential England. The river threads its way through sleepy rural villages, pretty landscapes embracing gastronomic gems and through the heart of bustling towns such as Oxford, Henley and Windsor. Wonderful culinary experiences beckon, whilst water meadows, old inns, wildlife and weirs lead you serenly on.
