Cycling Holidays in The New Forest and Dorset

For 2012 we are introducing a range of cycling holidays in the New Forest and Dorset starting from Burley, one of the very characterful forest villages. The New Forest is the most recently created National Park in Britain where animals may freely graze on the lowland heaths, forests and open pastureland . It offers wonderful traffic free pedalling in an area which is essentially flat and with a very distinct and charming character. Our cycling holidays will also lead you to the coast close by where there are many interesting maritime connections and to the Isle of Wight which is easily reached by ferry. This coast lies largely within Dorset, a county of unbelievable beauty much of which remains unspoilt and very rural with fine beaches and historic small towns. Salisbury and Stonehenge are not too far from the New Forest and these two utterly fascinating places can be reached by the attractive Avon valley and the less visited but equally delightful northern area of the National Park with a few slopes thrown in.
