Team Building Event
We were approached by a large branch of Royal Mail who wanted to
encourage their employees from a number of different units, to work
together. They also hoped the event would bring to light some hitherto
unseen personal skills of employees.
Participants numbered 40 and the budget was restricted.
The afternoon was based at a country house hotel and began with
a light hearted ice breaker - a Treasure Hunt in the
hotel and its grounds and extended into the immediate village.
- Employees from different units were "tied together"
by their team rope as they scavenged items, deciphered cryptic
clues and photographed the "local" flasher.
We followed this ice breaker with supper and the Arctic Challenge.
This fun team event challenged the entire group with:
- planning a 4 week Arctic expedition and constructing several
14feet sledges before setting off.
- As the expedition nears the Pole they must cross the glacier
using 8 person skis before detonating an explosion to mark their
arrival, the expedition success and the end of the event!.
New personal skills emerged as participants assimilated, allocated
and implemented the challenge.
