Great Train Robbery Event
A London firm of IT consultants with a local office in Buckinghamshire
wanted an event for a "company presentation that included
sheer fun and entertainment". It was to identify with
the Buckinghamshire environs.
As the Great Train Robbery of 1963 was masterminded and staged
in the area, we put together a day that recreated the main elements
of that famous event. Participants were invited to step into the
shoes of those villains of nearly 40 years ago and to become the
"Mind" of the crime.
- Accomplices assembled at The Crooked Billet pub
- The crime scene was determined
- Skills were practised
- train driving
- manipulating signals
- evading the cops in a fast and furious chase
- negotiating the getaway route in 4x4s
- hijacking a helicopter to locate the hideout
- The event concluded with a face to face with the Policeman
who was the first to find the hideout.
The day was designed for 24 accomplices with themed catering, concluding
with a post crime tonic as the load was counted.
We have subsequently adapted this programme so that it can also
run as an evening event anywhere in the UK.
